Today we went to a Jewish Synagogue. It was called the Ohel Leah Synagogue. It was very interesting, and I thought it was a lot like the Christian Cathedral. It was built in 1901, and took only 1 year to make! The speaker,Anna Van De Berg, told us a lot about a scroll that god wrote. The person who writes it is very special, because it has to be perfect. If there is just one mistake, that can not be fixed, you have to bury it in a graveyard. You can not just throw it out, because it is very valuble as it is written by god. At the end, we even got to see some of the scrolls!

Around the synagogue, there were also a lot of gold plates (the kind you put on a wall), stating things like when it was built, why it was built, and  who it was made for.
