Today was our very last day in Xi'an. The first thing we did was finish packing up. That didn't take long, so then we went to breakfast. The flight was at 2:45, so we still had a long time to wait. So we went to this place called the drum tower. There were giant drums all over the place! We also saw a performance, using percussion instruments. It was very, very loud! Then we visited a different market. It had many interesting things, but they were mostly things I could find in Hong Kong, too! But then something caught my eye. A man was doing finger painting. But not just ordinary finger painting. When he was done with what he was painting, it looked amazing! I got to get a bookmark with his artwork on it. He also wrote my Chinese name at the bottom, and my English name at the top.
When we got back to the hotel, there was a bus waiting to take us to the airport. It was about an hour drive, and I spent most of the time reading. When we got to the airport, it took a very long time to check in, but finally we did. Then we got on the plane and flew back to Hong Kong. I had a great time in Xi'an!

We didn't do too much today, but we sure didn't do nothing! First we went back to the wall to do the bike ride again. About a quarter of the way through, we went to a fung shui museum. Fung shui is the way you organize things in a lucky way. At the end of the museum tour we were allowed to get two lucky charms each. Each charm had a different meaning, and mine were lucky, and good memory and brain.
After that, everyone except Maggy, my big brother, Maggy's mom, and me went home, but we finished the bike ride!
When we got home, it was about lunchtime, so we went to a place called Subway. Then Gregory (Maggy's little brother,) Maggy, my mom, and me went to the fountains again, and the others went to the Bell Tower. Then we all came home, and decided that after dinner we would go to a market.
The market was really interesting, and I got to get some souvenirs. I got a spinning top with lights and a song, some animal erasers, and a kite with a penquin on it (so cute!)
When we were walking to the market we went to this shadow puppet show, which was based on the Monkey King story.
After that we went back to the hotel, and into bed.

Today was a very big day for me! First we went to this wall, where you can bike ride. It was 14 kilometres in all! Me and Maggy were on a double bike, with her at the front, and me at the back. It was so fun that we begged our parents to do it again the next day, and they agreed! Then we had lunch, and took a drive to a pagoda. While we were there, we climbed about seven long flights of stairs to get to the top of a slanting building.
After we climbed down, we went to a fountain show. It started at 4:00, and was only meant to go on to about 4:10. But we stayed much longer! Why? Because at the end you were allowed to play in the fountains, and we were not going to let that chance pass us! We started like this....

.....And ended like this!

After the fountain show we went to dinner, and then back to the hotel for a good nights sleep!

Today we visited one of the most famous things in China... the terracotta warriors! But first we went to the terracotta warrior workshop, where they make some smaller ones for souvenirs. I was allowed to chose one to take home. There were also some horses and chariots that you could buy, and me and Maggy thought they were hilarious! Why? Because they put the tails in seperately and we found some ones that weren't quite finished.....

See what I mean? Me and Maggy also had a good time poking our fingers in the holes....

After we had finished looking in the workshop, we drove to a place called Hot Springs. The cool thing was it was all natural! There was a lot of people taking our photos, so we learned the Mandarin for "no thank you" from our guide, Leena.
Finally, we got to visit the real warriors. It took a long time to see the whole thing, because it was very big. There were 3 pits, a museum, and a tea house. First we went ot pit one. It was amazing, because a lot of the warriors were still half in the ground.

Then we went to the museum. It showed some horses and chariots, and a giant terracotta warrior from the Beijing olympics! Then we went to pits two and three. And finally, we went to the tea house. The food and tea there was sooo good and I didn't want to leave, but my mom draged me away in the end!
By then it was quite late, so we had dinner. It was a dumpling banquet. Then we went to a dancing show. The dancers were amazing! Finally we went back to the hotel. What a big day!

Today was my very first day is Xian! It is located in the East of China, and it is a very beautiful city! Oh, and I forgot to mention that Maggy and her family would be coming with us!
First, I took a 12:30 flight to Xi'an. We arrived at about 3:00, and took an hour drive to our hotel. Then we settled in for a bit, and went to dinner. We had dinner at a hot pot restaurant, and afterwards we had a cake for Maggy's birthday! I had already given Maggy my present for her at the airport. It was a blue photo frame, which you can open up and put two photos in. She is going to put one photo of her, and one photo of me.
After dinner, Maggy, my dad, her dad, her mom, her brother, and my big brother went to a night market, and my mom, my little brother and I went back to the hotel.

I can't belive that it's the last day of the holidays already! It feels like they went really fast, but it's been 9 days! I think my favourite thing I did in the holidays was when I went to Ocean Park with Erin. We really did have a great time!
Today I basically spent the day at home. The first thing I did, which was in the morning, was listen to about 2 HOURS of music! If you now me really well, you'll know what band I was listening to! After that it was lunch time. For lunch I had the leftover pizza from the day before. After that I had to clean out my turtle's house. It didn't take that long, because I had my mom helping me. After that I cleaned up my room because well... it needed it! Then I watched Inndiana Jones And The Temple Of Doom with my family. I had already seen it before though, so instead I decided to write my blog (What you are reading right now!) Finally, I had dinner. I went to bed early after that, because I have to go to school again tomorow (groan!!!!!) I hope everyone had a great holiday! I did!

Yesterday was a very busy day for me, no questions asked! My day started off by my family and me going on a walk. And I mean walk, not hike. It was quite an easy trail, but long at the same time. The walk started Off around where Parkveiw is, and it finished at Tai Tam. I had a good time on the walk, because there was a lot to see. There were also lots of dogs on the trail, going for a walk with their owners. When we finished the walk, we were going to take a taxi home, but then we saw that there was a bus leading to an MTR station, so we took that instead. When we were on the MTR, we were going to go all the way home, but there was a stop where we could go get something to eat, so we got off there instead. While we were there, my brothers saw a toy shop that they could look in, so for a while a just looked around as well. Then we had lunch. We went to Pizza Hut. I really don't like pizza very much, but the pizza I had was really nice! After lunch we went home.
I didn't really do much when we got back home. The two things I did do were: listen to an hour and a half of music, and start my historical fiction story. That was about the end of my day!

I didn't do too much today, only a couple of things. But one thing's for sure: my day definately wasn't boring!

The first thing I did today was go to the Ladies Market, with my mom and my brothers. You may think that the only things there are for ladies, but you are wrong! It used to be only for ladies, but now it has many things for men ranging from clothes, to souviners! The Ladies Market is set up like this, there are four blocks, and on each one there are market stalls set up. My favourite block was the third block, because that’s where I bought most of my things. I bought: a pair of really cool purple flat shoes, a pair of headphones with a black backround and a pink skull on them, the goodie bags for my birthday party (which is in one week,) and the things to go inside the goodie bags. I also bought a present for my cousin, who had a birthday soon too.

The second thing I did today was go to my drama class. Every Friday since the Beggining of January, I have done a drama class. The play I am going to be in is called “Wonka Madness,” and it follows the basic storyline of Charlie And The Chocolate Factory. I am playing an ompa lompa whos name is Dingotoddle. Maggy, Alice, and Lulu also do the class, and they are ompa lompas too. I can’t wait untill we do the show, because we have all worked so hard on it!

Today I woke up at Astrid's house, but I didn't spend much time with her, because I was meeting Erin at Ocean Park at 9:45. Astrid also had to go to hockey camp at 10:00, so it worked out pretty well. The bad thing was, I left so early that I didn't get to have any breakfast!

When we arrived at Ocean Park, Erin was already waiting, so we just bought our tickets and went in. But I had a season pass, so it was only Erin and Jake (her brother) who had to buy tickets. We started off all together, but that didn't last long, because the boys took off imediately! Me and Erin were aloued to be alone, but every hour we had to check up with my mom.

Soon after we had arrived, we went up to the top of Ocean Park. The first thing we did when we got to the top was go on the flying swing. Then we had lunch (more like breakfast for me!) at McDonalds. I don't really like McDonalds, but I was desperate for some thing to eat! After that me and Erin were aloud to go off and do something by ourselves. Our plan was to go on the Raging River, but when we got to the escalator that would take us down to it, we found out that it was broken, and it was the only way to get there! Bummer! So we went back up to the area where we had had lunch, and went on the ferris wheel. By the time we had finished, it had been about one hour, so we went and met my mom at the meeting point. We were going to go off for another hour, to go on the Dragon and the Eagle, but we had to go home. So me and Erin took the cable car back to the bottom, and both my brothers, Jake, and my mom took a cable car down too.

When we were at the bottom, me and Erin wanted to do one more thing, so we went on the bungee jump. After that, it was time to take Erin home.

You may think that that was the end of my day, but it wasn't! My mom had to take me to the doctor because of my exma, but because we would be at the doctor anyway, the doctor would have to check where Astrid's dog had bitten me too. It turns out that my exma was fine, I just had to put something on it. But we had to call Astrid's mom about the dog bite, to see if he had had his rabies shots. He had! So there is really nothing I could do about it!

On Wednesday the 17th of February, I went to Lamma island. I go to Lamma island quite a bit with my family, and we usually go to the beach there. Today though, we did a walk, which took about an hour to complete. I have done about half of the walk, another time, but today we went all the way over to the other side. On the other side, there was a pier, so we didn't have to walk back to the other one. The ferry ride back was kind of boring, so I decided to get some rest, because I would be going to a sleepover that night!
Picture
At about 4:00, I went over to Astrid's house for a sleepover. We did have some things that we planned to do, but Astrid's mom wasn't there, so most of the things we couldn't do. Once we had mucked around for long enough, we decided to have dinner. It was spaghetti bolognaise. After that we watched School Of Rock, but we didn't get to finish it, because Astrid's dog Eienstein bit me on the arm! It really hurt, but Claudia (Astrid's sister) helped me, by putting some disinfectant stuff and a bandage on it.
Then we went to bed. By then it was about 10:30 a.k.a way to early to go to sleep! So we played would you rather for a bit, and then just lay down, but didn't go to sleep until about 12:00.
